1. Ask and discuss the following questions:
3. Set up the following experiment to find out the effect of light and dark on plants. You need two boxes of cress or two herb plants. Leave one by the window and the other in a a dark cupboard for at least a week. Check the colour and condition of the leaves daily. Record findings and discuss at the end of the observation period. Elicit the conclusion that plants need light.Remind pupils that light is a form of energy and tell pupils that the leaves use the energy in the sunlight to produce food. 4.
