1. Learn about Fish: They have fins. They are covered with scales. They breathe through gills. They lay eggs on water. They are oviparous. They live in water. 2.Learn about Reptiles: They have four legs. They are covered with scales. They breathe through lungs. Most lay eggs on land.They are oviparous.

1. Allow pupils to observe a goldfish swimming in a bowl. Elicit through discussion that fish have a mouth, gills, and fins. Extend the discussion to include how fish use these parts to move and to breathe in water. Ask pupils to draw a labelled diagram of a fish. Can they identify the fish they have drawn? Which types of fish do they know? 2.Talk about pupils' understanding of the term "reptile". Which reptiles do they know? Establish through discussion that the main group of reptiles are: crocodiles, lizards, snakes, tortoises and turtles. Tell children that they are going to observe a reptile (watching a video, looking at a book, posters, PowerPoint presentation...). Direct them to observe the movement, shape of head, eyes and limbs and the texture and pattern of the skin. 3. Tell children that they are going to watch a PowerPoint presentation about fish and reptiles. 4. Pupils complete Worksheet 4 in which they have to: - Underline the correct words. - Describe two different types of vertebrates.
