1. Ask pupils what they can see in the sky on a sunny day. Develop the discussion to establish:

- The sun is a sphere.

- The sun gives us heat and light.

- The sun is our nearest star.

- It is very large and hot.

- It is made of gases.

- The altitude of the Sun changes during the year. It is largest in the summer (the sun is high and days are long) and smallest in the winter(the sun is low and days are short).

2. Pupils watch a PowerPoint and complete worksheet 28.
