STAY SAFE ON 5 NOVEMBER

 

If you are planning to hold a bonfire this November, 5th then check out these SAFETY RULES first to make sure it passes safely :

WHILE BUILDING THE FIRE

DON'T USE:
TYRES
FOAM FURNITURE
PAINT TINS
OIL OR PETROL CANS
AEROSOL SPRAYS
GAS CYLINDERS

LIGHTING THE FIRE

First check there are no children or animals inside.

USE: FIRELIGHTERS AND PAPER
NEVER USE: PETROL OR PARAFFIN

WHEN THE FIRE IS ALIGHT

Have someone responsible in charge.
Keep children and animals a safe distance.
Keep fireworks well away.
Wear heavy-duty clothing.
Avoid alcohol.
Have sand and water available for emergencies

WHEN THE BONFIRE IS FINISHED

Douse the flames and leave the site
in a safe and tidy condition

 

ACTIVITY - PROJECT 7

When do you usually prepare a bonfire ? Is it held in summer ? What's the name of the festival in Catalonia ? What kind of things do you burn in it ? Why do we do it on that day? What does it represent ? ....

Using your computer, open a new document and write about this festival in Catalonia. Remember to insert some pictures !!! Once it is finished, hand it in to your teacher.
