Hello!

My name is Jordi Puntas Rubio. I'm an English teacher at Primary. I am working in four rural schools, situated in four wee villages of the Lluçanès county: Alpens, Perafita, Sant Boi de Lluçanès and Santa Eulàlia de Puig-oriol. These wee villages are near the Pyrenees mountains in Catalonia.

This website is a didactic project about music. It contains lesson plans, assessment grids, worksheets, flashcards and all the resources that are necessary to carry a music lesson out at Cicle Mitjà de Primària (Primary 4 and Primary 5 levels). Moreover, it contains a glossary of musical vocabulary and classroom language, and a collection of songs, musical appreciations and Scottish dances (Ceilidh dances).

This project is based on the CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning). The CLIL aims to introduce students to new concepts in traditional curriculum subjects, using the foreign language (English) as the medium of communication and, also, as a medium of introduction to a new culture, in this case, the Scottish one.

Finally, this project has been possible because I was awarded a Llicència d'estudis retribuïda - Modalitat C- from the Departament d'Educació de la Generalitat de Catalunya for the 2005-2006 school year.
