Saint Valentine's Day is a holiday honoring lovers, celebrated February the 14th.

Greeting cards, known as "valentines", are often designed with hearts to symbolize love. There are other love symbols like laces, rings, red roses, gloves or the Roman god Cupid.

Today the holiday is celebrated with the exchange of romantic or comic messages called "valentines", red roses,sweets, chocolates, rings, ...

  
  • How do we work this festival at school? 
 
    We work the festival with the pupils of the 5th. and 6th. level (CS).

a) We explain and do activities about the meaning of the festival

b) We make valentines (valentine's cards)

c) We learn the poem "Roses are red".
