SUMMARY ACHEIVEMENTS

Our school is situated in Barcelona's Raval neighbourhood.
Three years ago, we began to establish the use of Information and Communication Technology within the school curricular.

The students' learning processes have improved: searching through the internet, comprehensive reading, using ICT as an everyday tool in school.

We have also been able to open the Computer room to the neighbourhood:
Groups in the neighbourhood have been able to get to know about the possibilities that ICT offers and the students' mothers have been able to use ICT for different reasons: to communicate with their country of origin (via email), to learn the language of the country in which they live (catalan)...

We have participated in telemathic projects:
Interacting in a cooperative way with children throughout the world, but also with children from the same country.

The use of basic ICT tools without problems: email, web (surfing and creating), forums, chats, video-conferences, retouching images, word-processing...

POSSIBLE DEVELOPMENT PLANS

To continue extending the work already done by introducing ICT in the school curricular:

Project work using internet as a tool for looking for and increasing the use of computer multimedia programs so that the students can demonstrate their knowledge (web, flash, video...)

To consolidate the work we have begun with mothers and other groups in the neighbourhood

Continue with the work we started with the Telemathic projects, so that our students develop and form part of society.

To introduce a local telemathic web (Raval neighbourhood in Barcelona: XeR) to encourage the active participation of all the different schools in different Telemathic Projects and to extend the use of ICT in an educational ambit.
