Examples of Islamic patterns
Worksheet for the children with a small triangle and the complete pattern
Coloured Pencils

Introduction:
The teacher shows various examples of Islamic patterns and discusses the geometrical forms and patterns that can be found in these examples. He or she explains to the children how they can make their own pattern on the basis of one triangle.

Main part:
The children copy the pattern of one triangle in the small triangle. Then they design a colour pattern for the small triangle. This small triangle is used as example to colour the whole pattern.
