I finalment arribem a Londres.
De totes les ciutats visitades hem dit que eren resultat de barreja de races, religions i costums. Londres no és una excepció.
Només cal passejar per qualsevol dels seus carrers o seure en qualsevol dels seus parcs per veure la varietat.
Gent de tots colors, de totes races, de totes religions. Personatges que van des de l'avantguarda més rabiosa a la tradició més conservadora.
Londres és ciutat de tòpics: taxis (London Fairway), cabines vermelles, autobusos de dos pisos. El te de les cinc, l'esmorzar d'ous ferrats amb bacon i mongetes, el canvi de guàrdia, speaker's corner.
Londres és ciutat de monuments inconfundibles: Big Ben, Parlament, Westminster, Torre de Londres, Tower Bridge, Picadilly; de Museus i teatres.

Londres és ciutat de parcs i jardins: Hyde Park, Regent's Park, Kensington.
Londres és ciutat de mercats: Camden, Portobello, Covent Garden; carrers comercials: Regent Street, Oxford Street, Bond Street o grans magatzems emblemàtics: Selfridges, Harrods, Liberty, Hamley's, Fortnum & Mason.
Londres és ciutat d'estacions de tren: Waterloo (on arriba l'Eurostar que ve de París després d'haver passat l'Eurotunel), Victòria (d'on sortia l'Orient Express), King's Cross, Sant Pancras.
Londres té tota una ciutat subterrània: és el "tube" (metro). Quilòmetres de vies, túnels, estacions. Graons, escales, ascensors, pisos i més pisos cap avall; sembla que vas camí del centre de la terra.
Cada estació respira un ambient diferent; des d'estacions que recorden temps antics (de la Segona Guerra Mundial) a estacions futuristes que semblen tretes d'una pel·lícula de ciència ficció.
Passat i futur. Una ullada a la ciutat des del London Eye (nòria) et permet veure des del Thames, el Royal Festival Hall o el Globe Theatre (allà mateix) a una ciutat sense límits.
Londres és una ciutat per visitar una i altra vegada. Sempre és igual però sempre és diferent.

Finally we are in London.
We have said about all visited cities: There were a combination of races, religions and costums. London isn't an exception.
If you walk in any street or you sit in any park you can see the variety.
The most modern people and the most traditional people.
Londres is a topic city: taxis (London Fairway), red telephone boxes, red buses, the tea time (at five o'clock), the English breakfast (eggs, beans and bacon), the guard change, the speaker's corner.
London is a monumental city: Big Ben, Parlament, Westminster, London Tower, Tower Bridge, Picadilly; Museums and theatres.
London is a green city. It has a lot of parks and gardens: Hyde Park, Regent's Park, Kensington.
London has important markets: Camden, Portobello, Covent Garden; commercial streets: Regent Street, Oxford Street, Bond Street or big stores: Selfridges, Harrods, Liberty, Hamley's, Fortnum & Mason.
London has railroad stations: Waterloo (where Eurostar arrives from Paris after the Eurotunnel pass), Victoria (where Orient Express goes out to Istambul), King's Cross, Sant Pancras.
London has a subterrean city: it's the tube (underground). Quilometres of rails, tunnels, stations. Steps, stairs, lifts. Floors and more floors ever down. It likes you go to the Earth centre.
Every station is different. Some looks like the Second War, the others look like the science fiction film.
Past and futur. From the London Eye you can see a city without limits.
You can visit London a lot of times. Ever is the same but ever is different.
