ENTREVISTES PERSONES QUE VIATGEN

Cada dia és més freqüent trobar gent "estrangera" pels nostres carrers. No resulta gens estrany escoltar converses en llengües que no entens mentre esperes el teu torn al forn de pa o fas cua per pagar a la caixa del super.
Un món molt gran i divers que sembla fer-se petit a mesura que passen els anys. Hi ha de tot a tot arreu.
La gent marxa dels seus països per motius polítics, alguns; per millorar la seva situació econòmica, la majoria; o senzillament per desig d'aventura, una minoria.
El nostre poble i la nostra escola no és una excepció i aquí presentem algunes d'aquestes persones vingudes de "fora".


Very often we can meet "foreign" people in our cities, towns or streets. It's very usual to listen unknown languages while we wait in the baker's or while we are queueing in front of the cash in the supermarket
A very big and divers world but this is every day smaller, There is everything anywhere.
People leave their countries for political questions (someones); for to make better their economy ( the majority) or finding adventures (minority).
Our village and our school isn't an excepcion. Here you can know some of these foreign people.

Al 1976, però quan vaig marxar d'allà vaig anar a viure a Suïssa i després vaig venir.
Per què vas venir?
Perquè volia viatjar i conèixer altres llocs.
T'agrada viure aquí?
Sí m'agrada perquè hi ha molta natura i és un poble molt tranquil.
Ara, quina és la teva professió?
Sóc cuiner en un restaurant.
Et va costar molt trobar feina aquí?
No, gens.
Quina va ser la teva primera impressió quan vas arribar?
Que hi havia diferència de clima i és més agradable.
Quines diferències has trobat al venir aquí?
La llengua i que és una societat més organitzada.
Hi ha alguna cosa que no t'agradi d'aquí?
M'agrada tot.
Trobes a faltar alguna cosa del teu país?
Trobo a faltar la qualitat de la carn, certes olors i que la gent és més alegre allà.

No, perquè aquí ja tinc la família, i no la podria deixar.

What was your job?
I worked in public administration.
What year did you come?
I came in 1976, but when I left my country before to come to Spain I lived in Switzerland.
Why did you come?
Because I wanted to know other places.
Do you like living here?
Yes, I do. Because is full of nature and it's very peaceful.
What's your job (now)?
I'm chef in a restaurant.
Was it difficult to find job here?
No, it wasn't.
Do you like living here?
Yes. I like everything.
Why?
What was you first impression when you arrived?
The language and society is most organized.
Do you miss anything about your country?
I miss the meat, some flavours, and the happiness of the people.
If you could, would you like to go back to your country?
No, because here I have my family, and I couldn't leave them.

Al setembre de l'any passat (any 2001).
Per què vas venir?
No ho sé. El meu pare ens va portar. Suposo que ell va venir per poder millorar les nostres condicions de vida.
T'agrada viure aquí?
Sí, perquè m'agrada el poble.
Quina va ser la teva primera impressió quan vas arribar?
Vaig trobar molts canvis, tot era molt diferent i feia molt fred. Jo no hi estava gens acostumada.
Quines coses et sorprenen d'aquí?
Em sorprèn tot.
Quines diferències has trobat al venir aquí?
El mar, perquè no l'havia vist mai.
Hi ha alguna cosa que no t'agradi d'aquí?
No. M'agrada tot.

No trobo a faltar res, ja que aquí visc millor però moltes vegades penso en el meu país. Si poguessis, tornaries a marxar al teu país?

Per què va venir?
La meva mare va decidir venir a Espanya.
Li agrada viure aquí?
Sí. Perquè el temps és millor i la vida no és tan cara.
En què treballa?
Sóc professora d'anglès.
Li va costar trobar feina?
No. Perquè hi ha una forta demanda de professors nadius.
Quina va ser la seva primera impressió quan va arribar?
Quan vàrem arribar primer ens vàrem instal·lar a Alacant. Vaig pensar que tot era sec i molt caloròs.
Què és el que més l'impressiona?
La manera com la majoria d'espanyols accepten el nombròs nombre d'immigrants sense protestar.
Quines diferències amb el seu país ha trobat?
Les hores de treball i l'horari dels menjars
Hi ha alguna cosa d'aquí que no li agradi?
No m'agrada la manera com alguns espanyols tracten els animals.
Troba a faltar alguna cosa del seu país?
Sí, algun tipus de menjar, la xocolata.
Tornaria al seu país?
No. Perquè és massa fred I humit.

I'm 21 years old.
What year did you come?
I came in 1997.
Why did you come?
My mother decided to move to Spain.
Do you like living here?
Yes. Because the weather is better and it is not so expensive to live here.
What's your job?
I am English teacher.
Was it difficult to find job here?
No, because there is a large demand for English teacher.
What was your first impression when you arrived?
I thought it was very dry and hot. When I first arrived I lived in Alicante.
What impresses you most?
The way most Spanish people accept the huge numbers of immigrants without complaint. What differences have you found here?
The working hours and meal times are different.
Is there something that you don't like here?
I don't like the way some Spanish people treat the animals.
Do you miss anything about your country?
Yes. I miss some of the types of food, chocolates.
If you could, would you like to go back to your country?
No. Because it's too cold and wet.

Ara s'està a casa perquè té un nen petit, però treballava en un restaurant.
T'agrada viure aquí?
No. Bé, depén, em sembla que m'agradava més allà.
Quina va ser la teva primera impressió quan vas arribar?
Era petita, però recordo la sensació de fred i que trobava a faltar veure la platja davant de casa.
Quines coses et sorprenen d'aquí?
El fred i el caràcter de la gent. La gent d'allà és més oberta, simpàtica i alegre. La gent d'aquí sempre va per feina.
Hi ha alguna cosa que no t'agradi d'aquí?
El fred.
Què trobes a faltar del teu país?
El menjar, el calor, la família i sobretot les meves coses.
Tornaries a marxar al teu país?
Sí, per poder recuperar totes les coses que m'agraden.

Do you like living here?
No. Well, it depens, I think I like more Cuba.
What was you first impression when you arrived?
I was so young, but I remember the cold and I'm very surprised because I can't see the sea in front of the house.
What impresses you most?
The cold and the people. Cuban people are more friendly, funny.
What do you dislike from here?
The cold.
Do you miss anything about your country?
The food, the hot, my family and all my things.
If you could, would you like to go back to your country?
Yes, and I could recuperate all the things that I like.

La gent, a Argentina la gent es més oberta que aquí.

No, res.

Era molt petita quan vaig arribar, i no puc recordar-ho

M'agrada bastant tot.

La família. De les altres coses en tinc pocs records i no les puc trobar a faltar.

No. Perquè Argentina està en crisi i té masses problemes.

Yes, I do.
Why?
Because I lived quite all my life here.

I am secretary.
What was your first impression when you arrived?
The people. Argentinian people are more friendly.
What impresses you most?
Nothing.
What differences have you found here?
I was so younger when I arrived and I can't remember.
Is there something that you don't like here?
No there isn't.
Do you miss anything about your country?
Yes, my family.

No. Because it's not a good time for Argentina now.

Vaig néixer a Noruega, pero vaig crèixer a Gran Bretanya.

Tinc 33 anys.
Quina era la teva professió abans de venir?
Abans de venir a Catalunya jo estudiava.
Quin any vas venir?
Vaig venir per primera vegada el novembre de 1989. Al juny de 1993 vaig tornar 4 anys a Gran Bretaña I Noruega. Vaig tornar a Catalunya l'agost de 1997.
Per què vas venir?
Jo havia acabat l'institut I volia dedicar uns anys a viatjar I viure en un alter país abans de començar els meus estudis universitaris.
T'agrada viure aquí?
Sí, m'agrada molt.
Per què?
Per mi, el clima és una de les millors coses de la vida a Catalunya. La gent és oberta I a mi m'agrada la manera de viure d'aquesta terra.
En què treballes?
Faig de professora d'anglès.
Et va costar trobar feina?
No, no vaig tenir problemes per trobar feina. Hi ha moltes acadèmies i escoles i molta gent interessada en aprendre Anglés.
Quina va ser la primera impressió quan vas arribar?
La meva primera impressió va ser veure el terreny. Desprès de venir d'Anglaterra, que té un paisatge sempre verd I humit. Vaig arribar a Barcelona i vaig agafar el tren de l'aeroport per anar cap al centre. Tot era sec, empolsinat i marró.
Què és el que et resulta més sorprenent?
La quantitat d'hores que treballa la gent I la quantitat de menjar que es menja.
Quines diferències trobes amb el teu país?
Tot és diferent.
Hi ha alguna cosa que no t'agradi d'aquí?
La boira.
Què trobes a faltar del teu país?
Trobo a faltar moltes coses però el que més a tota la meva família I amics.
Si poguessis, tornaries al teu país?
Es difícil responder. Potser m'agradaria tornar al meu país en el future, però penso que en aquest moment Catalunya ofereix millor qualitat de vida.

I'm Gry Anne Edwards.
Where are you from?
I was born in Norway, but I grew up in Britain.
How old are you?
I'm 33 years old.
What was your job?
Before I came to Catalunya, I was a student.
What year did you come?
I first came to Catalunya in November 1989. In June 1993 I returned to Britain and Norway for four years. I came back to Catalunya in August 1997.
Why did you come?
I had finished my college studies and I wanted to take a few years to travel and live in another country before I went back and started studying for my university degree.
Do you like live here?
Yes, I enjoy living her very much.
Why?
For me, the weather is one of the best thing about living in Catalunya. The people are friendly and I enjoy the way of life here.
What's your job now?
I am an English language teacher.
Was it difficult to find job here?
No, there was no problem in finding a job here. There are lots of academies and schools, an lots of people interested in studying English.
What was your first impression when you arrived?
My first impression on arriving here in Catalunya was the difference in the landscape. After coming from England, which is nearly always so green and lush and wet. I arrived at Barcelona airport and got on the train to the centre. Everything was so dry and dusty and brown.
What impresses you much?
The long hours that the people work and the large amount of food they eat.
What differences have you find here?
Everything is different.
Is there something that you don't like here?
The fog.
Do you miss anything about your country?
I miss a lot of things, but most all family and friends.
If you could, would you like to go back to your country?
It's difficult to say, yes, maybe I would like to go home in the future, but I think at the moment Catalunya offers better quality of life.
