From February 3rd to 9th, IES Frederic Mompou
received the visit of 6 teachers and 8 students coming from three
European high schools: Romania, Turkey and Portugal. This meeting
is included in the international Comenius-Socrates Project "Water
Asset". During the meeting we visited the Llobregat river delta,
the waste water treatment plant in Gavà and the Water Museum
in Cornellà working together in the development of this project.
Some of the activities that the students are making are the systematic
analysis of the Torrelles stream, the water of tap, the full study
of the Llobregat River and the systematic analysis of the water
bills of a family and the high school. On May, from 11th to 16th,
it is established another international meeting in Brasov, Romania.
Two teachers and 3 students will go there. In that meeting the partners
will compare and evaluate the activities done and they will program
next academic year. In that year Greece will be a new partner.
