LULEA JOURNEY (SWEDEN)

7 - 11 APRIL 1008

Ester and Marta went to Lulea, a small city in the north of Sweden from the 7th to the 11th of April. Teachers from the Munkegergsskolan school showed us three schools from their city: the pre-school, the primary and the secondary schools.

The kids were really excited and as they saw us they started singing Catalan songs such as ‘Joan Petit quan balla’ or ‘quan les oques van al camp’. Apart from knowing the inner education system, we could visit the city centre, the house of culture, the Grönlunds-the largest factory in Scandinavia where they were constructing and building organs. And of course, the Ralph Lundsten’ house, a very popular electronic composer.

On wednesday Ingrid Norberg, the chairman of the board for the Municipal Education Commitee and Sturge Bryggman, the Director for the Municipal Education Office attended a meeting at our school. We had the opportunity to talk about the importance of having the Comenius project and the teacher exchanges. They also asked us lots of questions related to our educational system and our opinion about theirs.

You can learn a lot about Swedenin the exhibition located in the hall of our school. Come and visit it!
