Antoni
Gaudí was born 1852 in Reus (Camp de tarragona). Since
he was a child Gaudí was interested on the natural world, he amazed
the natural forms, colours and geometry. Gaudí in 1868 desided
to study archtecture in Barcelona, in a school dominated for the neoclassic
and romantic style. His first projects swing between an interpretation
of historical styles with oriental influence and the recuperation of medieval
elements.
When Gaudí was still very young had the first orders. His main
customers were the bourgeoisie and the ecclesiastical world. At the end
of the 19th Century and at the begining of the 20th, the indutrial bourgeoisie
increased its power and its economical position. They impeled the culture
and the transformation of Barcelona.

They promoted the modern style, and modern artists like Gaudí.
One of his more important works ist the expiatory temple of the Sagrada
Família in Barcelon and the Eusebi Güell's industry. Eusebi
Güell was an industrialist, the best Gaudi's customer and protector.
Gaudí desygn his house, the Güell's Palace in the Barcelona's
city center; the church and the workers' pavellonsfor of the Güell's
industrial cologne; and a holidays' residence in a garden, next to Barcelona.
Gaudí dead in 1926. He and his work was forgoted until the avangarde
and the internatona movement made it presented like an example of modernisation
and renewal of the architecture of the 20th Century.
