Javier
Marshal (Valencia, 1950), the polyhedral artist, designer, sketcher, escultor,
poster designer, painter and engraver, has added to the celebrations of
the bicentennial of Schiller with the elaboration of these two new pieces
Nocturnal festive (Oda to joy I) and the joy to live (Oda to joy II).
The serigrafías show two different scenes to us, populated by an animated
repertoire of human figures, botanical animals and, all of them characteristics
in the creation of Marshal. In the joy to live, this close and playful
fauna gives itself, visibly happy and in harmony with its surroundings,
to celebrate the existence and to enjoy the luminous and radiating day
that the destiny has given to him. Nocturnal festive the scene it is transformed
into a Mediterranean celebration bathed by the light of the moon and flooded
by the murmur of the sea and the lulling sound of saxofón. A vibrant of
sensuality and said atmosphere.Few contemporary artists have contributed
like Marshal to create a playful and festive image of Barcelona. Fascinated
by the Barcelonian architecture and the legacy of Gaudí, Marshal has created
the serigrafías Oda to the 150 Gaudí I and II to celebrate anniversary
of the Catalan architect. On them they are based modern Barcelona with
gaudinianos details, like ornamented grounds of the Stroll of Grace, the
chimeas of the Stone quarry and the mosaics of Park Güell.
