A poetic reflection on the design of earthen elements in architecture, the home, domestic objects, furniture, ornamentation, gardens and, particularly, everything revolving around people. From a contemporary artistic perspective, it displays those aspects of man's environment which form part of the earth and the planet's resources. What ever material they are made of, the production of useful objects is based on the energy sources and materials of the earth. Each object is transported back to its planetary condition through the use of earth to recall that it originates from the earth itself. Whether made of plastic, iron, cloth or paper, the artist covers the objects with raw earth to return them to their primary condition, to the dimension of landscape from which they were born, reminding us, through a metaphysical reflection, that man is a material part of this planetary organism. In this way, Noguera invites us to make a journey to the essence of things through the process of their creation and use, closely linked to the requirements of the place and the situation of humanity on the earth and in the universe.
"Pere Noguera. Raw Earth/Baked Earth. From the Landscape to the Habitat" represents an evocative, coherent proposal, an attitude and an artistic position to arouse an awareness of the universal and planetary dimension of the objects used by mankind, an essential reading of earth as a material, a metaphor of all of the other materials that make up the objectural geography at the service of present-day human life .
