    I'm the coordinator of this Project in Amer. I teach different art subjects like New Media, Design and Volume and Visual Education, too.     I have been teaching in IES Castell d'Estela for 8 years. I like this school because it is not big and we are able to attend each pupil individually. I like teaching in both the compulsory high school and also in the Batxillerat d'Arts, where the subject are more specific, and since own pupils have chosen them, they are more concerned.

    I do not live in Amer but in Olot, a city 30 km away. The city is pretty cute with amazing surroundings. It is situated at the edge of a Natural Wild Live Reserve with many wonderful dead volcanoes.  


 



The Subjects I teach

DESIGN


In this subject the students learn basic concepts and the projectual process of graphic, industrial and architectonic design. The pupils develop projects in this areas, learn creative strategies and get to know some references about the history of design and architecture.

VOLUM


In this subject we work with tridimensional forms. The pupils learn the conceptual aspect of tridimensional forms and creative strategies, process and materials to construct them. They have also a basic knowledge about references of sculpture, architecture and industrial design.

IMATGE / NEW MEDIEN


We call this subject Imatge that means image. We work with all types of new media: photography, computers, video and animation pictures. We learn how to use this media, how to organized a production. We know some references of photography and cinema history. We analyse the work of different artists to understand their creative works.

VISUAL EDUCATION


This is a subject of the compulsory secondary school. Like Maths, PE, Catalan... Here, the pupils have to do this subject to have a basic knowledge of visual arts and all types of visual productions. The pupils see works of art and speak about them, draw, paint, make photos... to improve their creativity, to understand the visual messages of our society and to appreciate the works of art.
