PLANTING THE BULBS
We were all very excited when the box of hyacinth bulb arrived. We couldn't wait to get them planted and watch them grow. Everything we needed was in the box, the pots, the vases, the soil, the bulbs and the instructions.

We planted them on the 15th of December and followed the instructions very carefully. Firstly putting soil in the pots, placing the bulbs in gently and covering them over with more soil. They had already germinated

We gave them water and put them in a sunny place, where they could grow. Two of the bulbs were put on top of glass vases. Their roots were above a level of water. We put them in a dark, cool place.

We watered the bulbs every day and measured them as they grew.

When we came back to school after the half term holiday, they had flowered. It was the 23rd of February. They were colourful and looked very pretty in our classroom.

Then we had to plant them in the school garden where they will hopefully grow again next year. They grew to a height between 15-40cm.
