SNOWDONIA

Snowdonia is a large area of the north Wales countryside and lies within the county of Gwynedd and Conwy in Wales. It is the second largest national park in Great Britain, extending from Conwy to Machynlleth, connected by a road. The wide sandy bays of its 37km(23mile) coastline are beautiful. Tumbling streams, dark forests and rugged hills are few of its variety .The park contains a number of mountains divided by deep valleys. Many areas notably Snowdon which is the heart land of the park and includes the highest point of England and Wales, Cader Idris to the south are well known and well trodden , but others , including the rolling Carneddau , the rugged Rhigongydd and the Aran Mountains are not often visited. Snowdonia was the stronghold of the welsh princess whose people are called Celts , and is still the Welsh heartland , with 71% of the population of Snowdonia welsh speaking.
