OUR VISIT TO THE SNOWDONIA NATIONAL PARK

Here is a picture of Llyn Llydaw which means grey lake. We are throwing stones in it. In this lake there are some rare fish called Arctic Charr, they were left over from the Ice Age. In the background is Snowdon.

These are some mine workings that were used to mine Copper in the area, it must have been a hard life especially in the winter.

We walked along the old miner's track. Here you can see an old bridge which has been built with slate. As you can see the weather was lovely and part of the lake has dried up.

This is part of an old train that carried the rocks from the mine down to a local village. The men used to work fro six and a half days each week. they even lived on the mountain.
