1. PROTECTED AREAS IN CATALONIA In Catalonia there is only a national park (National Park of Aigüestortes and Sant Maurici).In Catalonia there are 8 nature reserves among them the nature reserve of the Cadí-Moixeró.In Catalonia there are 3 natural places , a marine reserve and 40 natural fauna reserves among which is the Llosa's Valley. |

2. DELIMITING AND MUNICIPALITIES The Cadí-Moixeró park is the biggest protected area of Catalonia.It occupies 41.342 hectares. It has been protected for 20 years. It's distributed among 4 counties: Cerdanya, Alt Urgell, Berguedà and Ripollès. |

3. THE MOUNTAINS In the nature reserve of the Cadí-Moixeró there is a serrated mountauin range the "Serra del Cadí" which faces the west.The mountains of this serrated mountain range has an altitude of between 2.500 and 2.600 meters.The mountain pass of Pendís separates the serrated mountain range of the Cadí and the mountains of Moixeró that are 2.279 m. Jou's mountain pass separates the mountains of Tossa d'Alp and Moixeró. |

4. THE ROCKS Cadi Park is in the PrePyrenees. The mountains are lower than in the Pyrenees and are formed by soft materials. They predominate over the clear colours of the calcareous one. In Pyrenean, mountains are high and they are formed by hard materials. The dark tones of granites and slates predominate. |

5. RIVERS The park of Cadí-Moixeró is formed by a mountainous serrated edge that has two slopes. If it rains on one slope, the waters goes towards a different side of the slope than if it rains on other side one.On the North slope the waters goes to the river Segre. |
