1) the natural reserve
The natural reserve of Py is in the solid mass of the Canigou. The peak of Canigou measures 2785 meters of altitude. It is the highest mountain you can see. The peak is on the right. The village of Py is behind this mountain, it is 1000 meters above sea level. The natural reserve occupies a surface of 3930 hectares. The lowest part is 1000 meters of the altitude and highest to 2400 meters of altitude.
2) landscapes
We find many species of trees in the natural reserve of Py. Our stay in May allowed us to learn how to recognize the principal trees of the reserve.
We easily recognize it thanks to the shape of his leaves.
