During February and March there are two important holidays that do not have a fixed day, although they have assigned a day of the week: there are the Fat Thursday, and the Carnival Friday. In the Fat Thursday day, it is a tradition to have an omelette of sausage and cake with pieces of crackling. On Carnival Friday people disguise in different ways. In the next Sunday there is a big Carnival parade with a lot of groups. The most beautiful disguises receive a prize.

In April, we have the Holy Week, the week that we commemorate the dead and resurrection of Christ. Especially, we have the following holidays: the Maundy Thursday, the Good Friday, the Good Saturday, and especially, the Easter Sunday. In the Easter Sunday we go to the church square to bless the palms. The next Monday, we have a cake called "Mona", a cake with figures of chocolate.

The 23rd of April is San Jordi’s Day, the patron of Catalonia. This day, is the day of the books, and the love day, for this reason, the boys give a rose to the girls, and the girls give a book to the boys, to commemorate the feat of Saint George (Catalan legend).

In the first weekend after Easter we have the second big celebration of the village, the Remei Celebrations. There are a lot of activities, but the most important are the parade of giants, and the concert of choral chant.

During July and August, there are a lot of different "bredes" in our village. The "bredas" are parties that are organised by the people of the different neighbourhoods of our village. In the "bredas" you can go to fairground attractions, you can dance, and the most typical, in the last day of the holidays the people do a dinner with all the neighbours.

In Sant Martí’s week, there are a lot of activities, but the most important ones are the funfair and the traditional competition of sardanes (folklore groups). But the most delicious of these holidays are the stuffed apples. They are a traditional dessert of this village (see the recipe in "Curiosities").
