ens portaria a Nyköping.
tornar a l’alberg a dormir.
terrasses i te molta animació.
problema perquè tots volíem l’habitació de 12 llits i, a mes, ens feien treure
en metro cap a l’embarcador on havíem
d’agafar un vaixell per l’arxipèlag. Tots ens ho vam passar molt bé! Van
portaria cap l'aeroport.
Estàvem esgotats i alguns
malalts. Tres hores més tard ja érem a Girona. Ja teníem les maletes i vam
anar corrents a agafar el bus cap a Barcelona. Hi havia molta gent i va ser
complicat.
DIARY OF THE TRIP Sunday, 25th
March 2007
We woke up really early because we had to catch a bus that would take us from Barcelona to Girona airport. We took the bus at the North Bus Station and in 30-40 minutes we arrived at the airport. At 9 o’clock we were given the tickets and
until 10:30h we didn’t get on the plane.
We
had a 3-hour flight and, after landing we waited for our luggage. Then, when
everybody had their cases, we walked to the bus-stop outside the airport and
waited for the bus that would take us to the city of Nyköping. The
driver was very kind and when he saw us carrying such heavy cases he took us
to the very entrance of the youth hostel, about 300 m from the bus central
station. The youth hostel was a cosy, wooden, XVIIIC house, with two, four,
six and eight-bed rooms.
Once
we had made ourselves comfortable, we decided to go for a walk around the
town centre and also buy some food for our breakfasts and dinners at the
hostel. We walked along a street full of shops, which were closed, as it was
Sunday. We saw the Town hall, a modern building which contrasted with the
style of the houses nearby. At about 19:00h we decided to have dinner;
most people bet for Oliver Twist, a restaurant near the centre. The others
went to McDonalds. After dinner, we went for another walk around the town and
then back to the hostel to sleep. Monday, 26th March 2007 We
woke up early again, because we had to go to the “Tessinskolan”, but we were
late. When we arrived at the school, the students
were waiting for us in the class. We
were introduced to them and 10 minutes later we were separated in groups to
go with the Swedish students, who showed us to the school and later took us to the dinning-room.
The
school was very different from our school, much bigger, with fully equipped
classrooms, a gym, a theatre, a nursery room, etc. Next to the hall, there
was an area for students, with the school canteen and billiards. After
lunch, which, by the way, some of us found very different from our meals, another group of Swedish students took us to
go sightseeing around the town. We saw the river, the castle, some shops and
we had an ice-cream, which was strange for us in March, at the port, which in
summer is full of people sitting at the terraces by the river. Later
we went to the hostel to have a shower and prepare our dinner. After dinner,
most of us went for another walk around the town at night.
Tuesday, 27th March 2007
We
woke up early to take a train to Stockholm. The train was a bit late, and
then on the train we ran into some problems with our seats. Some of us sat at
first class, but nothing happened. The trip to the Central
Station lasted one hour approximately. Then we went straight to the
underground to get to the B&B. We were asked to take off our shoes to get
in the hostel, which was strange for us. Also, we all wanted the 12-room
bedroom and there was a bit of a row about that. We left our luggage and then
went out for lunch. Again, we all got into the first McDonalds we saw. We left our luggage in the rooms and looked
for a place to eat, but everybody went to McDonalds. In
the afternoon we visited the old town, the Gamla Stan, Stortorget, the Nobel
Museum, apart from doing some shopping. Later we had a meeting with
the teachers who told us we would have to pay 120 SEK for the ship to the
archipelago the following day. We could see the Jacobs Church and the
Kungstradgarden before going back to the B&B to get some money and then
go out for dinner. Most of us chose Italian food, but a small group went to a
Swedish restaurant. As we
would only stay one night in the capital, we wanted to visit the city at
night, but most of us were underage and were not allowed to go into pubs, so
we returned to the B&B and chatted in the rooms. Wednesday, 28th March, 2007
We
woke up at 7.30 and had breakfast at 8 at the hostel. Most of us did not like
the food and complained about the beds. As
soon as we finished, we went straight to Central Station to leave our luggage
at a left luggage office until we returned to Nyköping. Then, we all went to
the port to get on a ship to the archipelago. We’ll never forget the trip on
that ship. We all had great fun!
At
midday we took a bus to the Vasa Museum to see the famous XVIIC ship. There
was a restaurant in the museum but most of us preferred getting fast food
from the stalls outside. By
15.30 we went back to town and there we had an hour to go shopping around. Although we had agreed to meet by 17.00 to
go to Central Station for the train back to Nyköping, some of us got lost and
then we had to rush to get in the platform on time. On
arriving in Nyköping, some went straight to the hostel to rest and others
went to town for some more shopping. We
all stayed in the hostel for dinner and then had a small party. It turned out
to be the most special night in Sweden! Thursday, 29th March, 2007
We
had agreed to meet by 9:30 to go to the Tessinkolan. Again, a small group was
late. Once
there we went to some Spanish lessons and were asked to talk about Spain and
Catalonia. We also had time to talk to a group of Swedish student. By midday
we went to town for lunch and in the afternoon we had a meeting with the
teachers to have some feedback and arrange our way back to Spain the
following morning. After that,
we all had free time to do our last shopping and walking round. We stayed
in the hostel for dinner and tried to spend the night awake but nobody could
do it!
Friday,
30th March, 2007
At 4:15
a.m. we met at the entrance of the hostel and we all walked to the bus
central station to get a bus to the airport. At the bus
stop we were really tired and cold. We arrived at the airport, got on the
plane by 6:30 and took off by 7:00. Most of us
slept during the three-hour journey back to Girona. We were all exhausted,
some were even sick. In the airport and once we all had our luggage we rushed
to the bust stop. There were a lot of people and it was really complicated to
get on the bus that would take us to Barcelona. We arrived
in the capital at midday and some parents were already waiting anxiously for
us. Because of that, we did not say goodbye in a proper way and everything
was a bit cold. But the
truth is that now that some time has passed since we returned from our trip,
we miss all being together, because we really enjoyed our trip to Sweden! |
