“La oreja de Van Gogh” is a group from San Sebastian (País Vasco, in the north of Spain) creatd in January 1996.
They are Amaya, Xabi, Pablo, Alvaro and Haritz. They met in the university and they decided to form a group.

Little by little they started to compose songs and performing in some bars. One day they decided to record their first demo tape do go to the “V Concurso Pop Rock Ciudad de San San Sebastian", but they didin't have success.
When they went again to the "VI Concurso Pop Rock Ciudad de San Sebastian" won the first prize.

The "Epic/Sony music" record company, was interested in this group, and in only two months in Madrid they recorded their first  LP "Dile al sol " in June 1998

Since then, La Oreja de Van Gogh has became a big group.
