To become a user of technology, it is important to
lose your fear of computers and adopt a positive attitude to change and innovation. The computer is a technological tool that improves and facilitates communication and the access to information. To be a user, you don't have to be an expert in computer science or a programmer, but it is important that you have some idea about the characteristics of the machines and peripherals (the hardware) and the language and applications (the software)
that you will be using, as well as the educational opportunities they offer.
If you are not familiar with computers, it is a good idea to take a course that gives a general introduction to the world of technology so you can learn the basic commands that will allow you to become a user . (Various educational institutions offer such courses.) In the field of music, it is also worth it to familiarise yourself with the peripherals and apparatus that help you produce and reproduce music. It is also useful to have access to publications, people or institutions that can give you the advice, support and help you need to solve any problems you may have. The world of technology is undergoing a process of continual development and there are constantly changes and improvements. What is unimaginable today could well be a reality tomorrow. You just need to have the patience to learn something new every day, and the curiosity to discover what new contributions these resources can make to music education. |
