EXAMS AND COURSEWORK
- level 4-

There will be two exams through the year: one in February (February 20th and 25th) and another one in May/June. Of these two exams, the February exam accounts for 40% of the candidate’s final mark and the May/June exam is worth 60% of the total.

Both exams will consist of five parts: speaking, writing, reading, grammar, and listening. In both cases, the speaking test is worth 35% of the total, the writing test 20% and each of the other three parts are worth 15%. The final grade is based on the aggregate score gained by the candidate across the five parts.

The minimum successful performance in order to achieve a Pass corresponds to 65% of the total marks.

We remind students that there are NO September exams.

Compositions must be handed in on time, otherwise, they will not be corrected.

Bear in mind that class attendance will hardly be enough to reach the necessary standard. You will need to do extra listening, reading and writing outside the classroom.

Oral participation in the target language is essential. Don't waste class time on Catalan / Spanish.
