The search
engines are also a good tool to find information about the English language
on the net: verbs, nouns, capital letters, phrase formation, and so on.
Let's
take an example:

You
know that there is a rule related to verb endings: sometimes they must
end in -ing, and some times in -ed; some specific verbs must be followed
by another verb ending in -ing; after prepositions the -ing form must also
be used....
Use
different search engines to find out about the "-ing form". Type
"-ing form" . You will find several sites with grammar explanations,
exercises, quizzes and so on. I have selected two sites for you.
Visit
these two sites, go through its information and look for one rule
or explanation on each web site which can help you to understand the examples
in the box above.
Select each rule and copy
them in your personal file. Save the document as "ing form".
The
-ing ending is commonly confused with the -ed form in participles. Read
the examples below and see if you can deduce the rule.
