PROJECT ACTIVITIES

 

 

1.       Which project activities have taken place so far in the school year 2002/03?

*      Coordinators-meeting from 21.09. till 26.09.202 in Barcelona

*      Since 20 of September we have our own Homepage www.espedup.com :

 

*      Improve the Equipment for chat in the partner-schools:

 

*      Programs for our communication:

We shall use also msn-chat in the future.

For voice and video chat we shall try yahoo chat in the next year: Therefore every participant has to download yahoo-messenger from www.yahoo.com. Version  5.5.

 

*      Weekly teachers-chat every Wednesday at 20:00 in „Comeniusteacher“

 

*      Chats between pupils should be prepared before between the teachers!!

 

*      Profiles of Classes:

 Every class  made a short description with one photo of his class and put in MSN- Comeniusteacher and also in the hompepage!

 

*      In this way  teachers can search partner-classes in MSN-Comeniusteacher. Also new partnerships can be created this year!!

 

*      Classes which have a well working partnership should write a short report about his experiences for the web-site

 

2.       Which activities are envisaged for the remaining part of the school year 2002/03?

*      Teacher-placements between the schools

*      One Danish class will visit the school in Barcelona and another Danish class will visit the school in  Vöcklabruck

*      Chat between teachers, trying voice and video chat, find good chat programs

*      Chat between pupils, prepared be the class-teachers, trying also  voice and video chats

*      Sending mails between classes with special themes about the home-country

3.       Which project activities do you intend to carry out in the course of the school year 2003/04 and what are the expected results thereof?

*      Motivate more teachers and pupils to use mail, chat and video chat for communication between our European countries (and try to find out why many teachers are  a little bit angry of using chat-programs)

*      Train teachers and pupils to use programs for communication and find special programs for pupils with special needs

*      Planning of statistic-materials (queries) about using mail and chat programs ( from teachers and pupils (How often, for what, which programs, …., what can be helpful to use it….and so on..)

  *      The biggest problem for the pupils with special needs,  when they leave school and have to create their own networks. Everyone need networks, social networks (Friends, family etc.) professional networks (colleges) etc., to have a good life. Pupils have a social network when they go to school, the pupils in the class, the other classes and if they go to sport or have other interest. But when the school is finished, and the pupil is grown up, and perhaps have left home - then they are lost if they don’t have networks. The history tell us, the dangerous situation it is, not to have networks. The risk of social catastrophe is very high. Therefore we are developing tools in the Comenius project, to also to be used by the pupils, when they grow up, tools which they in their adult life are able to use to create - and keep networks.
*      Develop papers, which tell the pupils and their parents, how to download MSN messenger  and  papers,
               which tell the pupils and parents how to use the chat-programs etc.
 
*       Important aim of the project  is , that the pupils develop competences and get tools to create and
                maintain relationship (networks) to make a better life (Our aim in the project).
 
*      Developing a report about all activities and publish in the homepage www.espedup.com to help other schools to communicate with mail and chat.
