1. Choose the name for the newspaper
2. Design of layout of the newspaper , with the following sections:
• Editorial
• London overview
• Royal News ( The queen, the British empire …)
• High Society ( Social classes , High-class ladies & gentlemen, Fashion , entertainment )
• Culture ( literature & arts )
• Education ( Public schools – Education for poor children )
• Science ( Medicine, Florence Nightingale & Darwin and his “ Origin of the Species )
• Technology ( Industrial Revolution, Inventors and inventions )
• Politics ( Political parties, Suffragettes, Trade Unions , Conditions in factories , Women and children working )
• Odd events : Jack the ripper
3. Try to find an original title for each section.
4. Create a Victorian Timeline, including the most outstanding events covering as many aspects as possible .
5. Write an article for the editorial, on a general view of Victorian times.
6. Create some different ads for the newspaper. At least you should include the next :

   • A new invention.
   • A journey to any of the colonies.
   • The opening of the Great Exhibition
7. Create a cartoon strip, laughing at any social event.
8. Inform readers about the publication of Punch , a satirical magazine, in 1841.
