1- Team Cricket Game

The teacher gives the children an explanation of the rules of Team Cricket (see Teacher's Guide), which is an 8 v 8 game.

Each team is responsible for deciding how they are going to arrange their four pairs. Each pair bats for four overs and on completion of the four overs, the next pair goes in and the previous pair return to the bench.

The skills required for the game will include fielding, catching, throwing, bowling, batting and running between the wickets.

Thus each innings last for sixteen overs. It means, each time your team is in batting position you have 16 overs.

On completion of the sixteen overs the teams change roles, for example the fielders go into bat and vice-versa.

RULES:

•  The batting team start with a score of 200 runs.

•  Every time a batter is out they lose 6 runs from the team score.

•  All runs scored are added to the team score.

•  Players can be out bowled, caught or run out.

•  No bowler can bowl more than 4 overs.

All team members should bowl.

It is easily arranged that after each over the fielders all move around one place so that eventually all players bowl 2 overs.
