Physical Education is an important part of the whole school curriculum. It is concerned with the development of physical competences, knowledge and understanding, social skills, creative and aesthetic awareness, fitness and healthy lifestyle. While important in its own right, it also lays the foundation for lifelong participation in sport and other physical activities. The following units, related to games, dances and collective sports, have been developed to be used in a Primary School called “CEIP la Roca ”, where I have been working for two years. This school is located in Sarroca de Lleida (with approximately 500 inhabitants), and it is part of a rural scholar area together with other four schools. These units are designed specifically for the pupils of about 6-12 years old with a frequency of one hour per week, outside the periods designated to the Physical Education subject and outside the English time.
