hemos publicado una muestra de nuestro sistema multimedial de consulta a bibliotecas y base unificada de la UTN. Se incluyen, ademas, datos de la biblioteca central de la UNLaR.
El mismo brinda acceso a datos tradicionales, a las tapas escaneadas. Haciendo click en las tapas se llega al indice (lo que permite combinar busquedas en base de datos con busquedas a texto completo). Iincluye resumenes orales en Ingles y en Castellano y algunas otras opciones para discapacitados. Los libros estan vinculados dinámicamente a la direccion electronica del poseedor para facilitar los tramites.
Buscar en la opción Libros, en GIAIT, y en el idioma puede optarse por el Inglés
La muestra publicada (a modo de prueba) incluye unos 25.000 volumenes. Sabemos que faltan completar algunos vinculos pero queriamos ponerlo a vuestra consideración y recibir vuestras criticas y comentarios
El sistema es totalmente compatible con MicroIsis y otros sistemas de bibliotecas, con cualquier base de datos. Fue realizado en el marco de los Proyectos FOMEC-UTN 333-342 con la colaboración de muchos alumnos y jovenes graduados (Esta comunicación es una manera de agradecerles su trabajo y colaboración).
En Marzo pensamos tener el sistema a punto con más de 100.000 (cien mil) volumenes en una base unificada que incluya a mas de 20 dependencias de la UTN, la UNLaR y la UNNE. Cualquier institucion, biblioteca y/o persona que desee incorporar su base a este sistema puede dirigirse a director@giait.org.ar

Cuando que hace un año y medio escribíamos en el libro "Textos, Tramas y Dígitos ¿La Última Frontera" (Ediciones-EUDEBA-CBC), con Carlos Neri, sobre el futuro del libro (páginas 76/8 - 86/88), tal vez muchos hayan creido que era casi ciencia-ficción.
