The Environment

In our English classroom we are going to make a wallpaper about The Environment. Pupils will work with words and expressions related to this topic. They will work in the four skills focusing on listening and speaking.

Aims:

*to identify and produce some names related to the environment.

*to follow oral instructions.

• to identify and produce the estructures "I LIKE…", "I DON´T LIKE…"

Contents:

Procedures

• Identificatión between images and words.
• Oral production of short sentences.
• Linking written mesages to the correct pictures.

Concepts

• Learning the names and expressions.
• Understanding and producing the forms "I like…", "I don´t like…"

Attitudes, values and rules

• Showing interest in the environmental problems.

Activity procedure:

We are going to give to our pupils some pictures related to the topic. First we are going to pronounce their names aloud. Then, they will have to classify them in two diferent groups:

• Things we kike about the environment such as: to recycle
• Things we don´t like, such as: air pollution.

With this pictures we are going to make a wallpaper: we´re going to glue the pictures on a cardboard classifing them in the two groups. Then, we are going to write some sentences under the pictures. Pupils in groups can paint, cut out and glue the diferent pictures.

Aquests dibuixos amb llegenda (in English, of course) sobre el medi ambient són del "corel" i simplement els he tret el color. També poden ser útils per a decorar l´English Corner o l´English classroom (si disfruteu d´aquest privilegi) i esteu treballant aquest tema a la classe d´anglès.
