The number of people that read press in English (274) is higher than people who read in Welsh (4) and people who read in both languages (12), English and Welsh. And also is higher than the number of people who read in other languages (2), for example German.The reason is because in Wales there is more people who speak English than Welsh. For this reason there are less newspapers in Welsh than in English.
As we can see in the graphic, three is a lot of people who
read literature in English (276). However, people read in Welsh (13) is
smaller. The same happens with the people who read in the both languages (7)
and with the other foreign languages (2). The reasons are like in the press:
there is more people who read in English so the number of books published in
Welsh is smaller.
The graphic shows that the books are chosen by people for their subjects (210). The second preference is other (82) like the criticism or the author of the book. The latest one is the language (70). The cause that the subject is more important that the language is because there are more books written in English than in Welsh. So the important thing for the readers when they have to choose a book is that the theme of it seems interesting.
