30^th August: Aquelarre de Cervera: For approximately a quarter of century, Cervera's Catalan locality comes celebrating a traditional witches' sabbath of dyes of carnival. The celebration is done in the alley of the Witches of almost 200 meters of length. The neighbours of this Lleida's town enjoy this witches' sabbath in which rockets go off. Witches' sabbath is an orgy of fire and transgression, where malignant beings take the power for a few hours. The demon together with a witches' great retinue, spits fire, and allows the chaos and the widespread drunkenness. This great festival takes place in Cervera’s old town and performances are shown around the city.
