The
Lord of the Rings, book written by J.R.R. Tolkien, is very amusing because it
is a very imaginative story, very well written and easy to understand because
it is explained with a lot of details. The characters and the landscape are
very well described (for example: Hobitton - its inhabitants, their habits,
their movements, their feelings, their lives... ). It makes the reader feel
inside the story.
The main character is Frodo, a hero whose mission is to defeat evil and bring
peace to the Middle Earth. In this dangerous mission he is accompanied by other
characters that belong to the fantastic world: elves, dwarfs, wizards, humans...
They have to overcome a lot of dangers and fight with threatening creatures
to bring the unique gold ring to the Destiny Lonely Mountain and throw it to
the entrails of the mountain where the ring was forged, then Sauron will be
defeated and harmony is restored.
The book is divided in three parts, The fellowship of the ring, The two towers,
and the Return of the king.
The
first part, explains the first part of the travell, how it starts and introduces
the characters. In this part we see how born the "Fellowship of the ring",
a group of nine herous: a dwarf (Gimli), a elf (Legolas), two humans (Aragorn
and Boromir), a wizard (Gandalf) and the four hobbits (Merry, Pippin, Sam and
Frodo). At the end of this book we see how the fellowship is disolved, and the
members are separated.
The second part, The two towers,
explain the fight between the union of free countries versus the wicked forces
of Isengard, and Isengard is defeated and Saruman secluded in his tower.
The last part, The return of the
king, there is a cruel and bloody battle between the forces of good and evil
in a plain near of Mordor.
The film based on this book is a faithful production of the book, full of
special effects and action.
We recomend this book for all people that like science-fiction books or fiction
films.
