Is
it better to be a vegetarian?
They don't want to hurt animals... Livestock is given a lot of chemicals (hormones, antibiotics) which goes to the meat and then... Vegetarians tend to be thinner than meat eaters. (Obesity is considered by doctors to be a disease) You helping to preserve natural resources and cut down pollution generated by animal farming You save money. Replacing meat, chicken and fish with vegetables and fruits is much more cheaper. On average just to produce 1 kg of meat, 10kg of vegetable protein is used. That vegetable protein could be fed directly to people instead. If everyone in the world went vegetarian we could feed the whole world and more. If everyone ate meat we could not even feed half the world's population and so... Negative points. There some essential elements which are found in meat (proteins, vitamins, minerals). Animal protein provides nine essential amino acids but vegetables and grains provide only partial proteins, so they're not as useful to the body. Vitamin B12 is found only in animal products (diary, eggs). Without enough B12, the body suffers irreversible nerve damage. A vegetarian diet also can be low in calcium, iron, zinc, and vitamin D. Conclusion
b. In my opinion the vegetarian diet is the best. If we didn't
eat meat... |
