Dalí
was a very important surrealist artist. He was a painter but he explored
also the objectual art and the mass media (photography, cinema, advertaising).
He has also a literar production. He is not only well-knowed for his work.
He promoved himself as an extravagant, exentric and polemic person. He
was born in Figueras (Girona) and past a lot of time in Cadaqués,
a village by the sea in the Costa Brava. Dali's works have a lot of references
about this place. Deserted beachs, rocky landscapes near the sea are some
of the landscapes that he uses as a background or stage in his paintings.
