Salvador Dalí



With an hiperrealistic style, Dalí shows us fantastic and unreal scenes. He invents characters, mixes objects or deforms them, paints on the same pictures differents scenes, keeps awake tabus. He is interested in the fantastic relationships produced by the unconscious.

Dalí manipulates the objects and uses them as symbolic elements:

 

                                                DRAWERS

Symbolize the secrets corner. They are the door of our inconscious. These drawers can only be opened with the psychoanalysis.

These insects are unpleasant record of his childhood. They remimd you of the rotten. In his paintings ants symbolize the dead.

                                                LEGEND OF SAN GEORGE

This paint represents one legeng of Catalonia. Saint George is the hero because he kills the dragon and he saves the princes. So on the 23th of April we celebre this event and it is one of our Festivities and it's also called The day of the book. People give each other a red rose (it represents the dragon's blood ) and also some books. In every village there are books' and roses' shops on the streets.
