Catalonia is in the east of the Iberian peninsula on the Mediterranean coast.
This privileged position means that Catalans enjoy a temperature and pleasant climate most of the year.

The Catalonian landscape is very varied.
. The Pyrenees mountains contrast strongly with the coastal regions. Although the pleasant environment quality is generalised, Catalonia is a very pleasant country to live in.

The most important city in Tarragonès is Tarragona.
This city stands on the shores of the Mediterranean, and contains very important Roman remains.
