OUR VISIT TO THE SNOWDONIA NATIONAL PARK

This is rhodedendron. It is a plant that comes from China. It was bought here a hundred years ago by visitors. It now has spread everywhere and is a real pest as birds and animals don't like it.

A confluence is where two rivers meet together. Here the rivers Colwyn and Glaslyn meet. We are having our picnic in a town called Beddgelert.

We have a famous bear in Britain called Rupert the Bear. This is a plaque showing that this is where Rupert's author, Alfred Bestall lived.

This is Alfred Bestall's house. Rupert was a bear who had adventures withi his friends. He wore a red jumper and yellow trousers and stood up like a human.
