Conclusions

I must thank The Educational Department for the opportunity I have had to go abroad and to my school Jaume Ferran i Clua to believe in my Project. In this sense I especially appreciate what Francesc Carbó, my headteacher and friend has done for me, caring and supporting me during my stay in England.

It has been challenging living and working in England. It takes a while to settle in at the beginning and to pack everything up at the end. Although living in a house with your family is very convenient, to understand and solve house formalities (telephone, gas, power, etc.) is quite complicated, not to mention the local and council taxes!

Working in three schools has been hard, too many groups! The children have enjoyed quite a lot and in the end that has satisfied me. The headteachers of the schools have been very charming and the Staff in general very professional. I have to thank Year 6 teacher Miss Ayling for letting me attend her art classes regularly.

Being around the schools has provided me with a good opportunity to see how  English schools work. I have participated in some special occasions such as  celebrations at Christmas time,  special classes of music, dance... and some assemblies.

Finally, I have to thank  Ramon Sastre, my husband, especially for helping me to write my project in a web page format, my English friend Catherine Bonet for checking my spelling and  my friends Anna Pac, Anna Rabella and Teresa Bosch for reading and checking  my project. Also, I want to mention my Catalan colleagues and now friends for all the things we have shared in England.
