Lesson Plans

I'd like to create a working environment, a good atmosphere in which children can be safe, comfortable and emotionally secure.

I believe that exploration in the beginning is much more important than seeking any specific results.

Art classes offer the opportunity to create visible evidence of a cooperative or collaborative art project. In today's culture learning to work effectively with others is an important skill that is taught throughout the curriculum. When students learn to discuss their ideas, take turn and appreciate the contributions of others, they are being helped in their personal development.

Moreover, Art offers opportunities for each student to take personal and classroom responsibility.

Teachers should try avoid simple telling a child "your work is good", instead they should try for specific remarks, such as "You really made an effort".

Finally, Perseverance is important in character development, and Art is a wonderful place to reinforce it, not only  artistically but also  in the oral use of English language.
