Sites with general information
The "Centre de Recursos de Llengües estrangeres" (CRLE) is the best starting point for teachers who want to begin using internet resources in the English Classroom. The site is divided into four sections: sites and servers , classroom activities , e-mail connections and language practice , all of them very useful.
This site is one of the most exciting, genuinely innovative Web sites for ELT. It contains several different activities such as the ESL Graffiti Wall, ideas, idioms and phrasal verb pages, a ESL quiz center, a very interesting place for teachers and students to exchange messages on different topics called ESL Interactive Message Exchange, many ESL links , and a site to find key pals for correspondence and projects ESL E-mail Connection . The ESL Help Center is also available with 16 ESL professionals who volunteer to answer questions from students Question Page . This is a "virtual English language center" for students, teachers and speakers of English which offers a good range of resources, materials, services and products. Very useful are the areas of Fluency Through Fables and The Weekly Idiom . It also offers a section for finding key pals The E-Mail Key Pal Connection and a ready to use course for Business English Writing Via E-Mail .
The site offers various sections with many links related to ESL and other interesting places. The site can be used for self-study as well as in the classroom. Some of the most profitable sections are Ex*Change and Grammar Safari. Ex*Change goals are to provide an opportunity for non-native English speakers to express themselves through the use of English, and so the site publishes writings from all over the world. Grammar Safari serves students as a guide to finding English structures in context on the WEB.
This is a place where not only resources for language teaching and learning can be found but also language and linguistics in general. Resources for TESOL is the right area to find resources for teaching English to speakers of other languages. Among the most interesting sites are Exercises and activities for students, where one can find different ready-to-use activities for use in class, E-mail Pen- Pal assistant, to set e-mail correspondence and projects and Electronic Magazines by/for ESL Students , where students can find an audience and even replies to their writings.
This is a Spanish e-zine for teachers and students, linked to the well known conventional magazine "It's for teachers" and other print-based materials. This web site is one of the best places where to find material with teaching notes which give a step by step guide on how to use the activities and projects in our classrooms, as well as pen pals, discussions and links to other TESL sites. I recommend to visit the teachers and the links sections. The latter is one of the most complete, well organized and useful list of links for teachers and students of English. Other sites
