3. Writing: Think of an object that you own. You
may be carring it with you right now or you may have it at home. The object
you choose must have a story behind.
Follow these tips:
1. Write a title: "The story of a / an ...
".
2. Describe the object in detail.
3. Narrate the story behind it:
who gave it to you
when
under which circumstances
for what reason
why you keep it
who would you like to have it later on
4. Try to include linking words seen in the previous
letter (either in its version one or in
version two) in your
own piece of narration. If you like, show it to your teacher/tutor for
suggestions.
Why do this? As a way to put together various aspects that
you have been practising so far like describing, narrating, using linking
words, giving coherence to your text, etc.
