       2. Choose to write or talk about the following ideas. 
        If you decide to write show the writing to your teacher for feedback. 
        If you choose to talk, keep a note on your difficulties and solve them 
        when you finish either by using a dictionary or asking someone.  
      Why do this? Thinking and talking will bring to mind your 
        background knowledge on the actual topic. Having all this knowledge in 
        mind will hopefully help you understand the text better. 
        
        In my own country/town, are there any immigrants?  
          Where do 
        most of them come from? Why did they come in the first place?  
          How do people 
        (and me personally) feel about them?  
          Explain the 
        proverb "When in Rome do as the Romans do". In the context on 
        immigration what are the pros and the cons of assuming that kind of attitude?
