2. Write a Creation Myth of your own by following the tips below:

The title of your story is "How the birds got their colours" *
Write about 4 or 5 paragraphs.
Check out connectors, vocabulary + verbal tenses (you may like to include words you have explored in this activity).
Start by saying "Long, long ago- in the Dreamtime- when the land and the animals were being made… all the birds were black- all one colour."
Do a first draft and then either you or a mate may improve on it. When you're satisfied show your writing to your teacher /tutor for suggestions.

Why do this? This guided writing will provide opportunities to practise and improve your narration abilities.
