During the academic year 2005/06, IES Flix started its adventure with a Socrates programme. In this programme we acceded to the Commenius project. Its main objective is to improve the quality of school education and strengthen its European dimension, promoting the awareness of cultural diversity from crosscultural working projects in the centres.
In November 2005, in the preparatory meeting of Raalte (The Netherlands) we met European colleagues who will acompany us in this adventure until 2009:

" Collège St. Dominique et Lycee Notre Dame, de Guingamp (France)
" Launen Peruskoula, de Lahti (Finland)
" Antonio Meucci, de Turin (Italy)

In this preparatory meeting we agreed that the name of the project would be SPIRIT. It stands for: Sociology, Politics, Identity, Research and IT.
