Alison and Kevin are getting married. Everything is going fine. But King Mean will not let them be happy, not even on such a special day.

The king wants to use the Prima Notte right with Alison. Both she and Kevin feel he deserves a cruel death. He deserves suffering as they are suffering now.
Meanwhile, in another part of the castle, the Queen is with her lover, Malcolm. They are going to have fun tonight.

The next day, Alison feels dirty after having spent all the night with the disgusting, cruel king. What if she tried to kill him? Would God punish someone who killed a devil?

A countrywoman, Penny Anymoney, goes to the castle to see Paul Misunderstood. She tells him that she's his mother and that his father is the king, who had raped her when she was really young using the "Prima Notte" right.

|
While the queen and MaLcolm are saying goodbye after having spent the evening together in her room, the king sees them from behind a window, as he was suspecting already.

The king accuses the Queen of committing adultery in front of everybody. It was a "trial by ordeal", so Malcolm decides to defend the queen and Francis fights against him in a tournament to prove the Queen's guilty. But Malcolm wins, so the queen is declared innocent by the king.

|
After the Trial, the tournament goes on and Paul was the absolute winner. The king decides to make him a knight. After the ceremony, he invites Paul to live with him. He accepts, for he will be near the king to be able to kill him.

King Mean sees Penny among the people in the tournament, so he revives all his feelings for her and goes to see her in her hut. But, although she's always loved him, she tries to kill him for all the pain he caused her and their son, Paul.

While hunting, Charles falls into the river and Paul has to rescue him. But soon afterwards an arrow almost kills the king. Who shot it? Who wants to kill the king?
A strange atmosphere can be felt around the castle. It is fear!

While laying the table, Kevin tells Alison he will pour some poison into King Mean's cup of wine. She's frightened but he has made up his mind. However, it isn't the king who drinks the wine, it's his dog. When he drops dead, the king starts to shout and soon finds out it has been Kevin.

After spending the night alone, the Queen goes to have breakfast in the kitchen, where she can talk with Alison.
When the Queen goes to wake the king up, she finds him dead, beheaded with his head in a pool of blood. What has happened?

A wise monk, Judas' brother
All the people involved in the story
|
|
|
As soon as Judas finds out about the murder, he calls his wise brother so that he can solve this strange event. When he arrives, he asks to see all the people involved in the story. After questioning them, he knows the truth: Francis, the king's son, killed him.
How did he know? The boots are the clue.
When he accuses Francis, this tries to run away by horse. It doesn't matter. They'll catch him and punish him, as he deserves.
