  • Organize and plan the guide with other students.

  • Read travel guides of different countries and cities on the net.
  • Plan a tourist guide for Catalonia or Spain.  
 
  

Travelling on the web

The WWW is also a very useful tool to find information about countries and cities. 
 
  • Instructions
  1. Visit the site British Tourist Authority. This is an official site which serves as a guide to Great Britain.
  2. Go directly to the menu at the bottom of the page. Why is this site divided under these sections?
  3. Click on England.
  4. Look at the map of England. See how it is divided. Then look at the menu and click on London.
  5. Select this information and copy it in your file. Save it as "uni5tas1"
  6. Scan this site and write down the different sections into which the information about London has been divided.
 
 

There are other sites on the net which can give you all the information you need about any country or city. They order the information under headings such as: 

  • visitor's guide to the main places of interest
  • culture and history facts
  • news
  • weather reports
  • last entertainment data
  • culture and language
  • education
  • newspapers
  • (etc)
